The fifth grade classes are working on finishing up their self portrait projects. They have spent the last few weeks carefully examining their faces using mirrors and trying to use that information to draw a self portrait. Once their portraits are done, the kids then add colorful patterned backgrounds using a dry medium of their choice.
The photo class has been learning about color this week. We spend a nice day outside looking for interesting color samples and then edited the photos. Once we had an array to work with, the students took their photos into Illustrator and designed their own photographic color wheels.
