We only got 1.5 days of class last week so I thought I would just combine the two weeks into one post. The last two weeks have been a blast, I can't believe I will only have my students for a few more weeks! Were does the time go? I had to miss a day this week because I was doing presentations and being on a panel for future art teachers at USU. It was an amazing experience, but I missed my students. I also got to take down our display at the Logan Library this week. It was so fun to see their hard work displayed in such a great location. The library director was very pleased with the display and said it got many positive comments from library goers.
Last week the 6th and 7th grade classes finished their entries for the Doodle for Google competition! I am so pleased that the students were able to incorporate so many of their creative ideas into their designs. Each one is so different and unique! Here are just a few examples of the awesome work the students did.
The ceramics class finished up sculpting their AMAZING teapots this week. They are all set to dry out and be fired. The students really went above and beyond with this one, their designs are awesome!
The 4th and 5th grade classes are still finishing up their one point perspective landscapes, though a class or two got to move on to the tessellation project.
This week some of the third graders finished up a silly project called "Mona Lisa Parodies". We learned about the Mona Lisa and what the word "parody" means. The kids cracked me up with their silly renditions of this classic work of art.
