6th & 7th Grade Art
The middle school classes have finished up their BEAUTIFUL hand bound sketchbooks. The paste paper turned into amazing covers and the complicated sewing went fairly smoothly. This project is always a challenging one to start with, but it is so fun to help the students create something they can use all year long. The project always seems daunting, but once they pick up the pattern they are amazed at how easy it is! I am so happy with the results. Below are a few exemplary books, both in stitching and covers.

After the sketchbooks were complete, both classes moved into their first big project. The 6th graders are working on creating watercolor maps based on life events and the 7th graders are doing two-point perspective treehouse designs. Both projects are coming along very well and I am very excited to see them done!

3 & 4 Art
The younger grades had a BLAST learning how to mix colors and created their own color wheels. We used primary colors to make all the secondary and tertiary colors then added them to our wheels. It was a ton of fun and the students enjoyed getting to use the paint.
5th Art
The older Elementary students also were working on color mixing, but their assignment was to create an interactive and movable color wheel. This week we mixed and painted in our colored squares, next time we will cut them out and fasten them together to create a movable color scheme creator.

8th-9th Ceramics
The ceramics class is hard at work creating their entries for this years "Cupcake Wars" Competition. This years class is especially big so I have been impressed that the majority of the students have been able to stay on task and make lots of progress even in a crowded space.
