The photography class finished up one of my all time favorite assignments, double exposure. For this project the students used portraits of their classmates and background images from online. I showed them how to merge the photos together to create a really unique shot! I am so happy with how these turned out, there are so many awesome ones I had to post a bunch!
The Photo class also recently finished another assignment that I am just getting around to posting. Product Photography is always a fun challenge to bring to the class. I divided up the students into groups and assigned each of them a mundane object to transform into something interesting via photography. The goal was to make the product seem interesting and catch the viewers eye. Many of the photos turned in for this project turned out beautiful and looked quite professional!
6th & 7th Foundations
The 6th and 7th grade classes finally finished up their self portraits. They spent a few days closely examining their faces in our class set of mirrors. They tried to capture the elements of their face that make them unique and then added colorful backgrounds. So many of these are just beautiful!
The fifth grade classes have been hard at work on a collaborative mural for the school art show! They seriously look AMAZING! In just one class they were able to pull almost an entire mural together. I can't wait to post photos!
The photo class completed a group project in which they worked in teams to take product photos an turn them into a magazine spread. They got really creative and lots of the photos turned out nicely!
