This year my first project with the Elementary grades was goal oriented. We talked about three different types of goals: art goals, school goals and personal goals. The students wrote down one for each category and then I taught them how to draw a face peaking out. Each grade had a different level of difficulty. The third graders had the head shape and eyes already done, fourth only had the head shape, and the fifth graders had a blank paper. It was so fun to read through their cute goals!
Here are the top shots I have chosen from our first photography assignment. The students learned 10 composition tips and went on a photo shoot outside. I am already so impressed by the quality of the photos, the students have done a great job and I can't wait to see what else they turn in this semester! If you were absent and did NOT get your 5 photos turned in, please email your work to me.
